TOPIC: Footer Redirect not working with Subdomains

Footer Redirect not working with Subdomains 14 years, 3 months ago #92

I goto skillsusari.org on my iPhone. It redirects me to iphone.skillsusari.org
If I click on 'Show standard site' it redirects me to iphone.skillsusari.org
Maybe I need to turn sub domains off for now. No real reason to have them I guess...

Hi,

Thanks for the report. This turns out to be a bug in the markup chooser module.

Hi there

I am experiencing the same issue. I am running a redirect to my mobile site; however, when I select "Standard Version" I am directed back to my mobile site.

Any ideas on how to correct this?

Check the value of "Desktop URL" MobileJoomla setting. It should be yoursite/

Hi:

I am having the same issue. It works fine when using a single site setup, but not when using subdomains. It have not looked at the code yet, but the redirect seems to happen before checking for the markup parameter. I will have a look and report if I find a fix.
This is a great component! Thanks for the hard work!

On a first look at the plugin code, I have a hunch that the issue is cookie related.
When redirected from a different domain, browser detection redirection happens before checking the mj.markup cookie value.
The issue only happens when using a mobile browser to test. If I use a desktop browser, the markup is setup properly between domains.
