Yes, it does seem to get from Joomla! config. But doesn't handle the format for the db info entered e.g., my.ip:dbport - where typically you just need to enter the server name or ip - that's the thought anyway - thanks!

[quote name="RJohns"]I did fresh install with 9.6 and it still doesn't detect and change for iphone, works on blackberry though. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks!

I do not have an iPhone to test with, but I downloaded iBBDemo (http://labs.blackbaud.com/NetCommunity/article?artid=662) and there displays the website fine, maybe you can test it too. By now I'm trying to solve some issues with the menus.
Greetings!

I found the problem, but not a solution yet. The site's mysql uses a non standard port ip#:port# not sure where or if i can modify code to read alt. port

I had check the template code at \templates\mobi le_iphone\html\ com_content\ and do not find anything that seems to connect to the database, it looks like just extract the information of the content direct from the joomla! backend.

Not sure, but I guess that is the site is running, the port is addressed by your web server so everything is ok; if is an isolated problem, maybe have to check the code on the components dir for mobile joomla; but besides that, I think this tool just take the same information of the site and compose it into a template.
