BACK and HOME buttons

i need to remove the BACK and HOME buttons in the header. i know it sound weird but im using mobile joomla through an iphone app that already has the navigation buttons, so i get double navigation one above the other so its very confusing...

because the result would be the same, to get rid of the extra navigation, but i couldn t get it to remove the bar

i've been tempering with the css and the index.php but i just can't get it to work, any ideas anyone, please
