Wont upload through extension Manager

Hi

I am trying to up load "Mobile - Jomola 1.0-RC2.1" to Joomla 1.6  .. not working the download is a ..... tar.gz file not the usual zip  .... what am i missing

tar.gz is also archive file format, very popular in *nix world. Don't worry, Joomla is able to install it correctly.

Solved .. converted it to a zip file and uploaded / worked perfectly

hi guys,
i got the same prob. .tar.gz-file upload didnt work. i convertet it to a zi file but again error message: installation packege couldnt be found!

what the hell am <i doing wrong???

Try to unpack MJ to Joomla’s tmp directory and do "Install from directory".
