Uninstall problems

Installed Mobile Joomla to evaluate. In the end, it couldn't do what I needed it to do (too many other unsupported extensions in use on the site). I uninstalled, but now the entire site is bricked. When you go to the site (on a regular computer, not a mobile), I just get the following...
-----------------
Warning: require_once(/home/c661norm/public_html/administrator/components/com_mobilejoomla/mobilejoomla.class.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/c661norm/public_html/plugins/system/mobilebot.php on line 37

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/c661norm/public_html/administrator/components/com_mobilejoomla/mobilejoomla.class.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php52/pear') in /home/c661norm/public_html/plugins/system/mobilebot.php on line 37
-----------------

When I uninstall Mobile Joomla from the administration, I get the following error:

* JInstaller::install: ERRORXMLSETUP
* If this Extension has created tables or installed additional files, they must be removed manually.

So I guess the question is, what tables or additional files need to be removed?

Thanks,
Alan

Hmm. Try to install latest MJ and uninstall it again.
To fix warning/error in mobilebot.php just unpublish "Mobile Joomla" plugin (system group), but it's not right way because of some parts of MJ will be still installed (but not used actually).

I've done that. Trouble is, now I can't even get into Joomla Administration. When I login, I just get this...

---------------------

Warning: include_once(/home/c661norm/public_html/administrator/components/com_mobilejoomla/admin.mobilejoomla.html.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/c661norm/public_html/administrator/modules/mod_mj_adminicon/mod_mj_adminicon.php on line 22

Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening '/home/c661norm/public_html/administrator/components/com_mobilejoomla/admin.mobilejoomla.html.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/php52/pear') in /home/c661norm/public_html/administrator/modules/mod_mj_adminicon/mod_mj_adminicon.php on line 22

Fatal error: Class 'HTML_MobileJoomla' not found in /home/c661norm/public_html/administrator/modules/mod_mj_adminicon/mod_mj_adminicon.php on line 23

----------------------------------------------------------------

Guys, this is a really, really serious problem. I can't administer the site!!!

Suggestions, please...

If you have ftp/shell access to the site, just make administrator/modules/mod_mj_adminicon/mod_mj_adminicon.php empty.

I do, I did. I then had administrator access again, and could get in the back end. BUT... the site itself would still not load.

I then went to uninstall, and removed anything that was published by 'Mobile Joomla'. There were several plugins, and several modules that had to be removed. I can't recall if I had uninstalled a component... would I have done that yesterday prior to losing backend administrator access?

Anyway, uninstalled all of that and all SEEMS to be well again. Unsure what the problem was in this instance. I had tried mobile joomla on a "temp" site that used the same hosting etc., and it uninstalled fine. Could it have been a conflict with another mod/component/plugin? Not using anything too wacky, some joomlaworks stuff, image galleries, that sort of thing.

Anyway, I'll let you know if I run into anything else, but thanks for the above tip.

Mobile Joomla does not uninstall clean, it leaves most of its files in place and its database entries. I had the same problem. This plugin therefore sux and the writers of it should be ashamed of this crap for behaving so badly. Go into your database and remove all references to it in the jos_templates_menu table. That fixed things for me. Then manually remove all mobile joomla files from the server.

I won't ever use that plugin again for sure.

This issue is fixed in svn (wait for next ver.0.9.13).
Actually, it's issue of Joomla's installer (it removes all the template files but doesn't clear jos_templates_menu table).

same problem! I solved it (webstie still not visible) by just reinstaling once again the compenent after the admnistrator panel had been reactivated as said above. Now the website is once again online! Website is: www.capolavoroitaliano.com
