About developing new mobile compatible website

We have an existing website with version 1.5. Now we need to upgrade this and need to make it mobile compatible

I searched and noticed that

We can make use of the extension 'Mobile joomla' (Ref: www.mobilejoomla.com/mobile-joomla-features.html)

And can make use of mobile joomla template. (Ref: www.mobilejoomla.com/templates/1 ... plate.html)


I am planning to use free version of this 'Mobile joomla' template and planning to purchase 'Flat mobile template'

Kindly suggest if this is the right way to proceed

Or guide me how to proceed.
