Ads have suddenly begun appearing

We're using Mobile Joomla 2.1.11. It says we have a "Community" subscription - -whatever that is. I know we paid for the extension when it was installed. Suddenly we're seeing ads when we hadn't before. What's happened?

Your Mobile Joomla! Basic subscription was expired last September 30, 2016 and that is the reason why you are seeing ads. It was registered last Sept 30, 2015. Please renew your subscription to disable the ads.

Since an auto update today we're using Mobile Joomla 2.1.12. It says we have a "Community" subscription. I know we paid for the extension when it was installed on 24.03.2016. Suddenly we're seeing ads when we hadn't before. The following stats are shown in "my Account"!
