In the advanced settings, when turning modules on or off, if I try to turn off any module (displayed on the home page) it makes all modules in the content area stop displaying.

Some background info:
I have set up my home page using modules put in place with {loadposition some-position} and I tried, to make the layout better on smartphones, to have certain modules loading only on desktop and certain modules loading only on smartphones. However, as soon as I turn any module off for the desktop, all modules loaded using {loadposition} in the content area do not load. So the page ends up being blank.

Has anyone had this kind of problem and figured out how to do better?
Or does anyone have an idea of a solution?
